History

MCLS was established in 1990 by Frans Hendrickx. The acronym MCLS stand for Management Consulting & Listbroking Services.

In the beginning, the main activity consisted solely of the rental of already existing databases, which were selected according to the intended target group of a mail campaign.

Soon after there was a significant expansion of the business' activities when MCLS acquired the right to lease certain mailing lists exclusively. Acquiring these extensive databases resulted in a geographic expansion of clients for direct mail in Belgium, Netherlands and France.

A second major expansion took place in 1992, when the company offered the service of inserting advertising leaflets in packages of direct marketing companies.

In 2007 the efforts of Frans Hendrickx in direct marketing have been awarded and he has been admitted in the BDMA's Hall of Fame. At that time, Frans Hendricks had been active in the DM sector for more than 40 years. The first 20 years he has been the owner of a group of DM companies and afterwards as the founder, owner and CEO of MCLS. Further he has been, and he still is, the author of several direct marketing related articles and speaker at national and international events.

Over the years, MCLS has developed into the Direct Targeting expert. Effectively reaching the right customer group, to create maximum response, has always been at the core of our business. With a team of motivated et specialized employees the company is in the top 10 brokers in Europe.
